What is the matter with statistics homework nowadays that gives my kids such a serious time?

I have two youngsters in college age, and I frequently see them pretty upset and baffled, due to a insistent cause: they fail move forward with the stats assignment. They have managed to navigate through the college maze fairly successfully, until they stumble to anything that looks like math. Truly, math is not so much of an issue, the problem arises when it is a statistics class. They put their heart in, but still, they continue to fight, without seeing a little light of hope, which could be really discouraging. I don't understand why this needs to happen, if they are usually great students, with still some inclination toward the scientific discipline of the unsure?.

I believe that the reason is in the actual teaching. I have a strong reason to say what I say. I have formal preparation in math, or otherwise said, I'm a mathematician, and I can tell you that I know why is this, and I'm terribly surprised that no one else raise her hand to complain. It turns out that kids really are not punishable of the massacre we can experience at any prestigious statistics course. I mean, we must be honest, many statistics classes are superficial, and kids don't need any kind of accomplishment to retain formulas and apply them. That way they pass their statistics class with no or little difficulty. But still those don't learn even the name of their book. On the other hand, we have those students that have to face difficult instructors, that have the wrong idea about their students' background and give them an extremely tough piece of statistics homework. And then pupils don't comprehend anything. But as it happens in real life, students are not told the whole history. They are stated to think that statistics is a kind of complete course that starts with its own definitions and all you need to figure things out, but that is not real. In order to successfully undergo a hard statistics course you must initially learn Probability. Period. It is hopeless to comprehend the end of a account without knowing the first part of it. And it this situation, Statistics is the end of a story that commences with Probability, and there is no option of reverting the order or jump parts. I really wonder why the do it. There's wonder why lots of students go to the net and find statistics homework help, because it is for the most part their last alternative usable, and it is not their fault since they were taught the wrong way and no one seems to notice.

How can we figure out this? Well, it is a deep problem. Teachers ordinarily cannot do a thing about it, because they have to observe a programme for each career that comes from higher levels in the college organization. Can you see them? “The candidate is required to show a sound understanding of statistical analysis, and blah, blah, blah". They build their big plans in the air and in their aspirations they want to claim students to have all sort of abilities, but they seem to lack the proper understanding of the essence of a process that goes to the true expertise. They really want to create experts, but it seems they lack of the understanding of the requirements to create that expert. No doubts the time of transformations has arrived, and it will be for the best. We want things to be reconsidered, leastwise what has to do with math education.
